Courses offered by the Werkakademie
The Bocholt Werkakademie is a project run by the Borken District Job Centre and has been an integral part of an expanded case management programme since 2014. In addition to Bocholt, there are three further locations within the district - together, they share a common goal: to provide individual support to people as they (re)orient their careers.
At the Werkakademie, a multi-professional team supports participants on their journey - in a practical, personalised way and with a clear focus on what matters most.

Talent Compass
The TalentKompass NRW, run by the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs (MAGS), supports people with their career guidance and development. This tool enables users to identify the skills they have acquired through training, in their working life or in their private life. Clients are guided in identifying their own skills, interests and values, developing goals for their future career path and drawing up a plan to achieve these goals.
Each seminar is scheduled to last seven weeks, with one session per week.
Job Application Workshop

This group seminar provides detailed information on all aspects of job applications: what documents should be included in an application, what an ideal CV and cover letter look like, tips on application photos, advice and preparation for job interviews, and, at the participants' request, mock job interviews. The seminars usually run for six weeks, with one session per week.
One-to-one job application coaching
Participants receive support with their job application process. This includes, amongst other things, preparing application documents, help with job hunting, contacting employers where appropriate, and preparing for job interviews. Consultation appointments are arranged on an individual basis. The duration of the programme depends on the individual's specific support needs and their level of engagement.
One-to-one coaching
This service helps clients to overcome barriers to employment, boost their motivation, set goals and achieve them. Consultations usually take place once a week or every two weeks. Here, too, the duration of the programme depends on the individual's support needs and level of engagement.
"Open offer"
This service takes place every Tuesday. Customers have the opportunity to make use of the Werkakademie's "open service" to search for job vacancies, prepare compelling application documents and establish contacts with employers, with support available on the computers provided. No prior booking is required.
Start of the week

This group seminar is offered throughout the year, and participants are expected to attend for six weeks. Workshops are held on practical life skills, such as managing money, health and self-care. Participants can join this seminar at any time during the week.
