Bocholt contemporary witnesses 2.0
With "Bocholter Zeitzeugen 2.0", the Bocholt City Museum is sending a strong signal for a living culture of remembrance. Building on an initial interview project from the 1990s, contemporary witnesses are once again talking about their experiences around the end of the Second World War and the post-war period in Bocholt.
In collaboration with students from the University of Münster, these interviews were scientifically accompanied, sensitively conducted and documented on film.
The film provides personal insights into a time of upheaval - first-hand, moving and authentic.
A project for anyone who wants to understand why remembering is still so important today.
