Free summer fun on the market square

Right in the middle of the market square, a place full of activity, cool refreshment and summer fun is taking shape once again.
From 7 July to 9 August, the interactive PlayFountain will transform the market square every day into a meeting place for families, children and visitors of all ages.

This water-based fun in Bocholt will provide plenty of entertainment from 10 am to 7 pm with a varied programme of games. Afterwards, from 7 pm to 9 pm , a more relaxed show programme featuring matching light displays will provide entertainment.

The Bocholt Water Fun is a mobile fountain featuring exciting, intuitive and interactive water displays. 1,024 water jets can shoot up to 4 metres into the air, providing endless water fun. There are spectacular water shows with light displays and water features accompanied by suitable background music. Hot summer days in Bocholt town centre are thus transformed into a joyful experience for the whole family. Parents and visitors can share in the joy of the children playing - who are sure to have a brilliant time - and enjoy their days in the town centre during the summer holidays.

What time can children play?

The Bocholt Water Park is open daily from 7 July to 9 August 2026, from 10 am to 8 pm. During this time, children can play to their heart's content and cool off.

Do I have to pay admission?

No. The Bocholt water fun is free of charge and can be used daily.

Do I have to register in advance?

Up to 70 people can jump in and join in straight away, with no waiting time. A chance to cool off, refresh yourself and have some fun in the water is guaranteed.

Are there seating options?

Yes. There are deckchairs and seating available around the Bocholt water park. What's more, the surrounding cafés and restaurants on the market square are the perfect place to linger.

Is the water fun in Bocholt safe?

The Bocholt water attraction requires no supervision, always has ideal water quality and is safe. The attraction is very energy-efficient - it uses roughly the same amount of energy as a fridge. Furthermore, 95 per cent of the water is reused. Every day, the water is filtered, treated and tested to ensure that all limit values are met.
