Easter holidays: note the changes to waste collection!

Due to the upcoming Easter holidays, the waste disposal and service company will be postponing waste collection in the city area. While one collection will be brought forward before the festive period, other dates in the following week will be postponed by one day. All details can be found in the digital waste calendar and in the waste app.

The waste disposal and service company (ESB) would like to point out that the usual dates for waste collection will change due to the Easter holidays. During Holy Week, the collections will take place as usual, with one exception. Only the residual waste collection, which usually takes place on Friday, will be brought forward to this Saturday, 28 March 2026, due to Good Friday. The ESB is thus ensuring that waste disposal runs smoothly despite the public holiday.

After Easter Monday, there will be further adjustments throughout the city in the following week. The emptying of organic waste bins, yellow bins and paper bins will be postponed by one working day due to the public holiday. Citizens are asked to take the changed collection times into account and to put the bins out in good time for the collection company.

In addition, the ESB offers all information online, whereby the data can be customised to the respective street in the waste navigation system at the address www.bocholt.de/abfall-navi. For mobile use, the administration recommends the waste app, which reliably reminds users of all upcoming dates via smartphone and keeps them up to date at all times.
