Third Healthcare Careers Fair offers career opportunities at LernWerk

The town of Bocholt, in collaboration with the BOHRIS doctors' network, is hosting the third Healthcare Careers Fair at the LernWerk on Saturday 26 September 2026. From 10 am to 2 pm, around 30 regional companies, institutions and universities will be showcasing the wide range of career opportunities in the healthcare sector across three floors.

The healthcare sector is one of the most future-proof and diverse industries in the region. To give young people and those interested in a career in this field an insight into the wide range of career paths available, dedicated employers and educational and academic institutions will be presenting numerous specific career and entry-level opportunities on Saturday.

The opportunities on offer range from vocational training in medicine and nursing, through therapeutic and pharmaceutical specialisms, to biomedical degree programmes. Visitors will have the opportunity to speak directly with professionals and HR managers and to establish contacts for the 2026 and 2027 training intakes.

"The event is specifically aimed at pupils from Year 8 onwards across all types of school, young adults, people looking to change career paths, and those returning to work after a break", says Lisa Knuf, project coordinator for the City of Bocholt.

The focus is also on providing a practical insight into different career paths: at numerous stands, hands-on activities invite visitors to try out typical work processes for themselves and learn about modern medical technology. In addition, a central job exchange is available, where current apprenticeship, degree programme and job vacancies are clearly listed.

To support a successful start to a career, the Job Centre is offering a free CV review throughout the duration of the fair. Participants can have their documents checked directly by experts and receive personalised advice on how to write a compelling cover letter and a strong CV.

The event is rounded off by opportunities for professional networking, as well as catering facilities in front of the LernWerk.
