The Bocholt City Run is back: Registration from 13 March

After a two-year forced break from Corona, the 21st Bocholt City Run is to take place on May 7, 2022. "We dare the restart", announces the main organizer of the Bocholt City Run, Ullrich Kuhlmann. Athletes can register for the Bocholt City Run on May 7, 2022, starting on Sunday, March 13. At 12 noon sharp, the organizers will open the online registration at www.bocholter-citylauf.de.

Runners "scratching their hooves"

"The runners are scratching their hooves and are looking forward to the start of the race again soon. The starting places are called coveted. Experience shows that the places for the 5-kilometer run and the 10-kilometer run are booked up early," Kuhlmann says. He therefore recommends that you mark the registration date in your calendar.

As in the past, five runs will be offered. The schoolchildren will start with their own run over 2.5 kilometers. In the third race, students will run the double distance (five kilometers). Afterwards, the five-kilometer race for everyone, which is becoming more and more popular every year, will start, before the popular and road runners take on the 10-kilometer course as a highlight at 8 pm.

Professional conditions

The Stadt-Sport-Verband, the city of Bocholt, the Stadtmarketing Gesellschaft and the DJK SF 97/30 Lowick as organizers of the Citylauf want to ensure professional conditions for the runners as in the past. The circuit will be marked out with the help of the youth fire department, THW youth, water sports club, DLRG, the SV Biemenhorst, pupils of the Berufskolleg Bocholt West, the Stadtsparkasse Bocholt, the police and many helpers of the DJK SF 97/30 Lowick. Drinks will be served by the St. Norbert Scouts, and medical care will be provided by the Malteser-Hilfsdienst.
