Prizes awarded at the sports and action day

Beaming faces at the award ceremony in Langenbergpark: three weeks after the successful sports and culture day organised by the city of Bocholt, the winners of the big hands-on competition have now been honoured.

The Sport and Culture Action Day attracted around 2,000 visitors to Langenbergpark on 13 September. Around 40 sports and cultural stations invited visitors to try out everything from parkour, capoeira and archery to creative arts and crafts activities. Those who took part in at least ten stations received a medal and a wristband. The first 300 participants also received a Bahia voucher. Nine winners were drawn from the 478 participants, who were delighted to receive fantastic prizes.

The main prize, a high-quality bicycle from Hochrath, went to Dilean Bijo. In addition, three colourful, bulging cultural rucksacks and five professional yo-yos were raffled off among all participants. "We are delighted that the Sport and Culture Action Day and the competition were so well received", said co-organiser Thomas Boekhorst, Head of Sport at the City of Bocholt. "The great interest shows how lively and diverse the sports and cultural landscape in Bocholt is."

The organisation team, consisting of employees from the city of Bocholt, the city sports association and the city marketing department, presented the prizes to the children in person.
