Neighbourhood help marketplace: meeting place for interested parties, senior citizens and neighbourhood helpers
Next event on 9 June 2026 at 4 p.m. in the Fabi
The City of Bocholt's senior citizens' office is continuing the "Marktplatz Nachbarschaftshilfe" event series. The next event will take place on Tuesday, 9 June 2026 at 4 pm in the Family Education Centre (Fabi) at Ostwall 39, 46397 Bocholt.
Senior citizens with a care degree and interested neighbourhood helpers are cordially invited to get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere and make appointments for neighbourhood help. "Last year, there were many matches and positive feedback from senior citizens and their relatives who would not have found support without the event," reports Head of Division Christian Tewiele. "This is why we will be organising the marketplace as a regular fixture in the calendar."
The aim of the "Marketplace Neighbourhood Help" is to bring together senior citizens with a care degree who are looking for support in their everyday lives with committed volunteers. Whether shopping, going for a walk, doing household chores or visiting the doctor - there are many ways to provide support.
Neighbourhood help is financed by the care insurance fund's relief amount, so there are no additional costs for senior citizens. Neighbourhood helpers receive a tax-free allowance of up to 131 euros per month and person supported.
Interested senior citizens and potential neighbourhood helpers are cordially invited to take part in the event. Registration is not required.
Questions about the event can be answered by the City of Bocholt's senior citizens' office by emailing seniorenbuero(at)bocholt(dot)de or calling 02871 953-2234.
