Heads of administration from Bocholt, Rhede and Isselburg exchange views

Today, the administrative leaders of the cities of Bocholt, Rhede and Isselburg met for an inter-municipal exchange. This time, Anholt Castle was hosted by the city of Isselburg under Mayor Michael Carbanje and First Alderman Thomas Horster.

On behalf of the city of Bocholt, Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff, First City Councillor Thomas Waschki, City Planning Councillor Daniel Zöhler and Treasurer Jennifer Schlaghecken took part. The Rhede delegation was represented by Mayor Jürgen Bernsmann, Alderman Hubert Weverink and Treasurer Hermann-Josef Schmeing.

For years, the three neighbouring cities have maintained a twice-yearly exchange, a "short collegial line", so to speak, at the administrative level. The range of topics of common contact reflects the diversity of municipal life. Cross-municipal traffic developments, school matters or planning projects are among them, as are tax trends or dealing with legal requirements. Areas of responsibility that are suitable for inter-municipal cooperation are also discussed.
