FW Bocholt: Serious road accident on the L 602

Bocholt (ots) -

On 28 October 2020 at around 19:40, the Bocholt fire and rescue services were alerted to a traffic accident with a trapped person on the L 602 at the Frankenstraße exit.

On site, it turned out that there had been an accident between two cars. All persons had already left their vehicles independently.
A rescue vehicle from the Wesel fire brigade, which happened to be at the scene, had already provided first aid.
A total of four people were treated by the emergency services and transported to hospital. Two people were seriously injured and two were slightly injured. There was no danger to life.
Due to the type of injury, a rescue helicopter was requested for one patient. This landed at the scene and took the injured person to hospital in Enschede in the Netherlands.

The fire brigade secured and illuminated the scene. In addition, the rescue service was supported in providing medical care.

The fire and rescue services of the city of Bocholt were on site with a total of 18 firefighters and seven vehicles. These included an emergency ambulance and three ambulances.
