FW Bocholt: Kitchen fire with one injured person

The Bocholt fire brigade was called to a fire incident in an apartment building on Blücherstraße on 16 March 2026 at 22:50. The callers reported a smell of burning coming from a flat on the ground floor.
When the fire brigade arrived, one person was found in the flat on fire. An incipient fire had broken out in the kitchen of the flat. The person suffered from smoke inhalation and was treated on site by the rescue service and the emergency doctor. The fire brigade was able to quickly extinguish the incipient fire with a team wearing breathing protection. The affected flat was then cleared of smoke using a fan.
The fire and rescue services were deployed with 13 firefighters and 5 vehicles.
