Leistungsspange: Examination for youth fire brigades at the weekend

Next Sunday, the members of the district's youth fire brigades will have to prove their skills in five disciplines. The "Leistungsspange" is the highest performance badge that the young members of the youth fire brigades can achieve.

Last year, the Bocholt youth fire brigade celebrated its 50th anniversary. Originally, it was planned to hold the youth fire brigades' proficiency test in Bocholt in the anniversary year. Due to corona-related restrictions, the event was postponed and will now take place next Sunday, 18 June.

The young people have to prove their skills and knowledge in five disciplines. The disciplines include fire-fighting tasks such as setting up a fire-fighting attack and sporting tasks such as the relay race. Youth fire brigades from the districts of Borken, Recklinghausen and Unna will compete.

The event starts at 9.30 a.m. on the grounds of the SV Biemenhorst. The youths and visitors can expect an exciting scrutineering, an exhibition of fire engines, a snack, ice cream and drinks sale. The Bocholt youth fire brigade is looking forward to many visitors.
