Fire brigade location in Suderwick extends deployment times for the Netherlands

From 1 May 2023, the German fire station Suderwick will also be available during the day on working days in the security region Noord- en Oost-Gelderland. So far, this location has only been requested for support during the evening and night hours as well as on weekends.

The expansion has become possible because daytime occupancy in Suderwick has improved. Since the Corona crisis, people have been working more from home, which benefits the availability of volunteer firefighters in Suderwick.

The additional availability of the fire brigade in neighbouring Suderwick is particularly beneficial for Dinxperlo and the surrounding area. Here, help from neighbouring Germany is now possible at any time.

Measure related to CrossFire

The extension of the accessibility of the Suderwick location in the Netherlands is related to the CrossFire project. This project aims to intensify the cooperation between the fire stations of Dinxperlo and Suderwick, with the goal of a common appliance house for both fire brigades.
