Club card: Donation for Bocholt city fire brigade association

Alexander Elskamp has now presented the Bocholt City Fire Brigade Association with a donation cheque for around 420 euros. The sum comes from a campaign in which customers can specifically collect donations for the association when shopping.

A donation cheque has now been handed over to the city fire brigade association at the Bocholt fire station. Managing Director Alexander Elskamp handed over the sum of 420 euros to Marco Heisterkamp and Dirk Arping from the Bocholt fire brigade on behalf of the association.

Over the past few weeks, the participants had used an association card when shopping at the store. As a result, one per cent of the purchase value was credited directly to the city fire brigade association, and the campaign is to be continued.

"Supporting local associations is important to us, as they form the social backbone of our city", says EDEKA Managing Director Alexander Elskamp. Björn Volmering, Head of the Fire Department and First City Councillor, also expressed his thanks on behalf of the administration: "You are supporting our volunteers in the volunteer fire brigade, and I would like to thank you for that", said Volmering.
