Christmas parcel campaign: Volunteer agency also opens on 6 December

On Saturday, 6 December 2025, the volunteer agency is offering additional opening hours from 10 am to 1 pm. During this time, citizens can pick up parcels to fill or drop off pre-packed gifts for the Christmas parcel campaign for the Ukrainian city of Verkhniodniprovsk.

The city of Bocholt is delighted with the continued high level of participation in the "Bocholt hilft Werchniodniprowsk" campaign. With the additional opening on St Nicholas' Day, the volunteer agency would like to offer all interested parties another uncomplicated opportunity to take part in the campaign. The special time supplements the regular opening hours and is aimed in particular at people who do not have the opportunity to drop off or collect items during the week.

"The response of the past few days shows how strong the solidarity of Bocholt's residents is", explains First City Councillor Björn Volmering, "with the special opening, we want to enable as many people as possible to take part in the campaign."

Empty boxes can also be collected on this day as well as finished, Christmas-wrapped parcels including the necessary customs list. The campaign will run until 10 December 2025.
