Online seminar explores the transition to motherhood
Online seminar on 13 October // Focus on the concept of "motherhood" // Open to interested women
How does motherhood change one's professional and private life? An online seminar on Tuesday, 13 October 2026, at 7.00 pm will explore this question. The event is part of the "Women & Work" series organised by the local equality officers in the Borken district.
Motherhood is often associated with fundamental changes - both in the workplace and in one's private life. This online seminar provides background information on the concept of '"motherhood"'. The term describes the transitional phase that women may experience as they take on the role of a mother.
In their presentation, the speakers Hanna Meyer and Prof. Dr Svenja Krämer combine academic findings with practical experience. Among other things, they explore how this phase of life can affect professional life and what changes may arise within a relationship.
As well as imparting knowledge, the seminar also focuses on personal reflection. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange views and put their questions to the speakers.
Bocholt's Equal Opportunities Officer, Astrid Schupp, invites all interested women to take part. The seminar will take place online on Tuesday, 13 October 2026, from 7 pm.
Registration is only possible via the events portal of the Equal Opportunities Officer for the Borken district at www.kreis-borken.de/de/veranstaltungen-gleichstellung.
