From an idea to your own business: an online seminar for women

How does a business idea become a viable business? An online seminar on Thursday, 5 November 2026, at 6 pm will provide answers to this question. The event is aimed in particular at women who are considering starting their own business and would like to find out about the first steps towards self-employment.

Andrea Severiens from the start-up advisory service of the Borken District Economic Development Agency (WFG) provides practical information on the path to self-employment. Topics covered include developing a business plan, potential funding opportunities and the differences between freelance and commercial activities. The seminar also addresses various forms of business start-up and the economic viability of a business idea.

As well as providing specialist information, the seminar offers the opportunity to learn from the experiences of a female entrepreneur and to explore the challenges of setting up a business. Participants will also receive comprehensive information material.

Bocholt's Equal Opportunities Officer, Astrid Schupp, warmly invites all interested women to take part. The online seminar is part of the "Frau & Beruf" series of events organised by the local equal opportunities officers in the district of Borken.
