Run-off election for mayor on 28 September: electoral office now open
Early voting possible at the electoral office // Polling stations open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on election Sunday
The run-off election for mayor will take place in Bocholt on Sunday, 28 September 2025. All citizens who were already eligible to vote in the first ballot are entitled to vote. The two candidates with the most votes from the main election on 14 September will stand for election.
Voting is not only possible on election Sunday in the polling stations, but also from now on in the electoral office of the city of Bocholt. This is located in the inner courtyard of the Mariengymnasium at Schleusenwall 1 and is open Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm and Friday from 8 am to 12.30 pm. On the Friday before the election, 26 September, extended opening hours apply until 3 pm.
Anyone wishing to cast their vote on election Sunday can do so between 8 am and 6 pm at the relevant polling station. The polling station is noted on the polling card. If this is no longer available, it is sufficient to present a valid photo ID on election Sunday to cast your vote.
Postal voting is also possible for the run-off election. Voters who have already applied for postal voting documents for the main election and also requested the documents for the run-off election will automatically receive them by post. Completed postal ballot papers must be received by the electoral office by 4 pm on election Sunday at the latest. It is also possible to drop them in the letterbox of the city administration at Kaiser-Wilhelm-Straße 52-58 until 4.00 pm on election Sunday.
