The town of Bocholt offers its congratulations and thanks for many years of service
On 1 August 2026, Frank Eßing will celebrate his 40th anniversary of service with the City of Bocholt.
Frank Eßing's career began on 1 August 1986 with an apprenticeship in the middle-level non-technical administrative service. After successfully completing his training in 1988, he initially worked at the City Treasury. At the same time, he obtained his university entrance qualification for applied sciences through evening classes, thereby laying the foundations for the next step in his career: from 1990 to 1993, he completed his training for the higher civil service to become a city inspector. After completing his community service, he returned to the city administration.
In 2002, Frank Eßing then moved to what was then the Department of Schools, Education and Culture. There, he took over as head of the Controlling, Accounting and Budgeting division. Since 2010, he has headed the Administration and Finance division and played a key role in rebuilding it. At the same time, he took on responsibility for the administrative staff at the Adult Education Centre, the Music School and the Culture Department, and successfully brought the various teams together.
Colleagues describe him as always friendly, calm and level-headed. Always ready to listen to concerns both big and small, he is there to support his team at all times. He always keeps his cool and approaches everyday life with composure and a subtle sense of humour.
We would like to express our sincere thanks for four decades of dedicated service, his high level of professional expertise and his commitment to the town of Bocholt!
