Five apprentices are starting work with Bocholt City Council

First day of the training course on 3 August 2026 // Personal welcome and workshops

Five new apprentices began their training with the City of Bocholt on 1 August 2026. Mayor Christian Mangen, training manager Inka Wallkötter and Hanna Roßmüller welcomed the new trainees in person and wished them every success with their training and a good start to their working lives.

To kick things off, the new recruits took part in an induction programme providing key information about the start of their apprenticeships. Alongside organisational and IT workshops, they also got to know the Youth and Apprentice Representative Committee (JAV). Following this, the new recruits began their first day's work in their respective departments.

Tobias Reuke is starting his apprenticeship as a surveying technician; Katja van Laak is training to be a media and information services specialist specialising in library science; Lukas Lambertz is training to be an IT specialist; and Melina Bollwerk and Rabea Elkmann are beginning their apprenticeships as administrative assistants.
