City of Bocholt invites you to visit the town hall construction site

Guided tours for citizens on 16 and 17 July 2025

On 16 and 17 July 2025, interested citizens will have the opportunity to visit the construction site of the town hall with integrated cultural centre on Berliner Platz. In a total of four guided tours, specialist planners and architects will provide information on the current status of the refurbishment and give insights into the special architectural features of the building under construction.

+++ UPDATED, 7 July 2025, 9.20 a.m. +++

The tour dates for 16 and 17 July are already fully booked. Together with the planners and architects, the city of Bocholt is therefore already looking for further dates for additional guided tours. These will then be announced on the city's website.

The guided tours were organised following a tour for members of the city council in June. The city of Bocholt is thus setting an example for transparency and public participation in this important urban development project.

There will be an opportunity to talk to architects and specialist planners and ask questions about the construction method, utilisation and future function of the building complex.

Participants are asked to agree to the special conditions of participation. These include wearing sturdy shoes. It is also mandatory to carry a valid identity card. Participation is not possible without ID. The city of Bocholt expressly points out that this is an active construction site and that appropriate precautionary measures must be observed.
