The three-and-a-half-year training programme takes place at the waste disposal and service company (ESB) of the city of Bocholt, with the vocational school training taking place in the first year at the Bocholt-West vocational college and then continuing at the vocational school in Wesel.

The 1st year of training includes

• planning and organising the work, evaluating the work results,
• how to install and connect electrical equipment,
• measuring and analysing electrical functions and systems and
• how to install and commission electrical systems

The 2nd year of training includes

• Installing and configuring IT systems,
• the maintenance of plants and systems,
• how control systems are configured and programmed and
• Technical service and operation of the systems

The 3rd and 4th years of training include

• deepening the knowledge from the previous years of training and
• the realisation of business processes and quality management in the area of application
