SPAWN (Ska-Punk Show)
SPAWN is an energetic ska band from Aalten, the beautiful Achterhoek in the Netherlands. The band delivers infectious rhythms, booming horns, screaming guitars and a dirty organ that fuse into a unique blend of ska and punk rock, influenced by surf and reggae.
Since the release of their third studio album "Dance of the Lunatics" in October 2016, which was highly praised by the media, SPAWN has been performing on the stages of numerous festivals and clubs. The record, which was added to the Spotify playlist "Skatepark Punks", was even released on vinyl by the American label Feedbands and achieved almost half a million streams.
SPAWN was founded in 2001 by childhood friends in Aalten and grew from a punk trio into a powerful ska-punk combo. They were inspired by British ska from the 70s and 80s and bands like Reel Big Fish and Mighty Mighty Bosstones. With hits like "Spam" and appearances at Zwarte Cross and Paaspop, SPAWN have established themselves as festival favourites. With over 200 gigs and three albums under their belt, the band is ready to rock any stage.
