The special film "Tomorrow is another day"
On Tuesday, 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the film "Tomorrow is another day" will be presented in cooperation with the city's Equal Opportunities Officer.

The film celebrates the women who stick together under the radar of their tyrannical husbands.Writer, lead actress and director Paola Cortellesi masterfully switches genres from drama to comedy time and time again. Paola Cortellesi is one of Italy's most dynamic and versatile artists. Her directorial debut does not proclaim feminism with a raised index finger, but tells of the many small steps on the long road to emancipation.
Rome - 1946 after the liberation from fascism. Delia (Paola Cortellesi) is Ivano's wife and mother of three children. Two roles she fulfils with devotion. On top of this, she helps out the household budget with lots of small jobs to keep the family afloat. Ivano, on the other hand, feels entitled to remind everyone who the breadwinner is. And not just with words. Physical and psychological violence are part of Delia's everyday life. Until a mysterious letter arrives that gives her the courage to throw everything overboard and wish for a better life, and not just for herself ...
The film lasts 120 minutes. The film was directed by Paola Cortellesi.

About the special film campaign
The film series "KINO Bocholt - the special film" has been running since 1977 as a cooperation between the Department of Education and Culture and the Bocholt Kinodrom. The aim is to present exceptional films - which would otherwise not be shown in Bocholt - to an interested audience of all ages at a favourable price of €7. Selected films are usually shown every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.
