Opening: Sandbachpark
Bocholt celebrates the completion of the newly designed Sandbachpark - known as "Ententeich" - with a colourful programme for the whole family.
The redesigned Sandbachpark, which many Bocholters know as "Ententeich", is being officially opened.
The park was redesigned as part of the "Wasserrobuste Städte" project and was made possible by funding for the adaptation of urban spaces to climate change.
From 4 p.m. , guests can expect a varied programme with musical performances by the Bocholt Music School as well as games and entertainment for children from the neighbourhood.
The official part of the event begins at 4.45 pm with a welcome address by Mayor Christian Mangen. A special highlight will be the visit of Parliamentary State Secretary Sören Bartol, who will officially open the park together with the mayor.
Afterwards, members of the public will have the opportunity to find out more about the remodelling and redesign during a walk through the park.
To round off the celebrations, the city invites you to talk to representatives from politics and administration. Refreshments and drinks will be available throughout the event. The proceeds will go to the parents' and sponsors' association of the Bocholt-Isselburg music school.
Postponement in case of bad weather
If the weather does not play along, the official opening will be moved to the neighbouring St. Paul's parish hall at short notice
