A simple accident for event page (1)

104 minutes | Drama/Political Thriller | FSK 16 years | 2025 | Original language with German subtitles

The film by Iranian director Jafar Panahi deals with the authoritarian regime in Iran. He himself was imprisoned there.

The film is about a seemingly banal event that unexpectedly links the lives of several people. What begins as a minor clash develops into a chain of encounters, misunderstandings and decisions that bring hidden truths to light. With subtle irony and suspense, the film shows how coincidences change destinies and how closely tragedy and comedy often go hand in hand. In the process, a multi-layered portrait of ordinary people whose lives are thrown out of balance by a single moment unfolds. A community of fate must decide between revenge and humanity.
