LitNatur in Stenern

Literary-musical programme in the open air

Two programmes - one stage - many voices:
On the smallest stage in the world, the charming Bonsai stage, literary humour is combined with cross-border jazz on this summer evening. The LitNaturtseries meets the Jazz Unites Euregio ensemble - and together they create a rousing open-air programme full of depth, lightness and musical encounters.

Part 1: Love & other humour

Author Sebastian Aperdannier unfolds a panopticon of human relationships in entertaining texts: There is Pawlack, who tragicomically fails at housework, a cabaret piece about retirement as a caesura for marriage and everyday life - and a madcap finale in which two groups of Catholic countrywomen outdo each other on a pilgrimage. Pointed, funny, with a loving look at life.

Part 2: Jazz Unites Euregio

An international ensemble brings a breath of fresh air to old melodies: folk songs from Germany and the Netherlands, rearranged in a jazz guise. Between improvisation, groove and emotion, a musical bridge is created across borders - with the audience as part of the whole:
Singing along is expressly encouraged! The musicians invite the audience to join in with well-known melodies and actively shape the evening.
