bölter. is an exceptional guitarist who impressed Nena, Boss Hoss and Samu Haber in equal measure on The Voice of Germany in 2013. The latter described him as "an established international superstar". His talent also captivated the Irish singer-songwriter Ryan Sheridan, who booked bölter. as a support act following an impressive rendition of his hit "The Dreamer". Despite regular radio airplay, bölter. is still considered an insider's tip on the German blues and music scene.
With his German-language debut "Therapie%$, released in 2022, bölter. proved that the blues also has a place in the singer-songwriter genre. His new album "Schwebezustand" follows on seamlessly from this, combining bluesy roots with multi-faceted, German-language poetry. The songs are powerful, honest and unmistakable - a reflection of his artistic maturity.
bölter. is a singer, guitarist and songwriter - an artist who brings his passion to the stage with unrivalled energy and virtuosity. As a winner of the "Robert Johnson Guitar Award", he plays an antique resonator guitar, blows the dust off the strings and sings the blues of today in an authentic style.
His music can be placed somewhere between Udo Lindenberg, Reinhard Mey and Bob Dylan - yet his own distinctive style is unmistakable, characterised by catchy melodies, bluesy sounds and profound lyrics. bölter. manages to create the impression of a full band with his performance, whilst playing all the instruments himself: stompbox, bass lines, blues harp and guitar.
