The New Wave of Heavy Psychedelic Space Rock

Formed in Münster in 2008, the BLACK SPACE RIDERS stand for uncompromising artistic freedom and a deeply rooted DIY ethos. The band releases its albums entirely independently and has thus - as part of a movement that has grown together - built up a loyal, international fanbase.

What begins in the studio as sound art crafted with meticulous attention to detail transforms on stage into an intense live phenomenon: sweat-drenched concerts, imbued with an irrepressible, collective energy that fuses the band and the audience into an inseparable whole.

Following the departure of guitarist SLI, the Riders have strengthened their ranks from within: their long-standing sound engineer π has moved from the mixing desk to the guitar. The result of this newly harnessed primal energy is their eighth studio album, "Die 8" (release date: 13 November 2026). Recorded and produced in their own studio, the album brims with the joy of playing. The band creates a sound world all of its own: psychedelic, heavy as lead, danceable and deeply atmospheric.

Conceptually, the songs navigate a world between the human mind and digital control.

Live, this musical journey is like a ritual act of resistance, pure emotion and an intoxicating rebellion against the coldness of everyday life. The BLACK SPACE RIDERS invite you on an intergalactic crossover trip that shatters genre boundaries and makes the club shake.
