Early help

A child is expected or has just been born! The joy of parents, relatives and friends is great. A child turns the parents' everyday life upside down, the clocks suddenly start ticking differently - at least it feels that way. Time becomes scarce and precious.

The city of Bocholt supports pregnant women and families at an early stage to make the start into the "adventure of life" as loving, safe and healthy as possible for parents and children. This is the reason for the "early help" programme.

"Early help" forms local and regional support systems with coordinated offers of help for parents and children from the beginning of pregnancy and in the first three years of life.

The support services aim to improve the development opportunities of children and parents in the family and society at an early stage and in a sustainable manner. In addition to practical everyday support, "early help" aims to make a particular contribution to promoting the relationship and parenting skills of (expectant) mothers and fathers. In this way, they contribute significantly to the healthy upbringing of children and ensure their rights to protection, support and participation.

In Bocholt, various facilities and services offer a wide range of information, counselling, mediation and practical support in everyday life for pregnant women and families with babies and young children.

Support for (expectant) parents

In the brochure "Schwangerschaftswegweiser" (Pregnancy Guide ) you will find information on concrete offers of "early help" in Bocholt.
