The course is divided - weekly - into theory and practical days. It takes place at the FOM Hochschule für Oekonomie & Management (Essen or Oberhausen) and enables you to support people in various life situations in their everyday lives. In addition to the basics of education, psychology and sociology, the programme teaches social work methods and knowledge of special intervention measures (e.g. conflict moderation). In addition, you will deal with the fields of action of child and youth welfare, addiction support, inclusion and case management.

On the practical days, you will work in the Youth, Family, School and Sports Department of the Bocholt municipal administration.

After successfully completing your studies, you can be employed in the Department of Youth, Family, School and Sport.
